TEAM KATNISS
Katniss just needs one arrow to end Lady Jessica. And she's survived two HUNGER GAMES, so she's well versed in fights to the death. You just can't beat her!

Haven't actually read either but from what I know your logic is sound and it's how I voted.

Re: TEAM KATNISS
Lady Jessica can easily shift out of the arrow's trajectory before you say "shoot", and if she gets at hand combat distance, I don't think Katniss (admitedly, I don't know her) can stand her own, because Jessica is.. unbeatable? Surviving in a desert for days - check, surviving a maddening trance - check, training a whole army - check.

Re: TEAM KATNISS
Damn. Now I'm not sure how to vote. I should probably stay out of matchups where I haven't read either book...

Re: TEAM KATNISS
Noooo! Katniss is, like, a really good archer. When she hunts animals she always shoots them through the eye! THE EYE!

Re: TEAM KATNISS
I don't know what to do! I could go research each character extensively since they both sound like badass competitors.

Or I could change my vote back to your girl since you voted for Susannah.

*Weeee Tyrellish stategy ftw!*

Ahaha, I love the Valentine vs Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings match! Whether as Demosthenes or Locke, Valentine's eloquence is no match against awful poetry!

A vote for Susannah is a vote for awesome
I do not aim with my eye;
She who aims with her eye has forgotten the face of her father.
I aim with my hand.

I do not shoot with my hand;
She who shoots with her hand has forgotten the face of her father.
I shoot with my mind.

I do not kill with my gun;
She who kills with her gun has forgotten the face of her father.
I kill with my heart

Also, as of right now despite the other brackets having votes in the thirties, this bracket only has nineteen. That happens to be an extremely significant number in the Dark Tower universe. It's ka, people!

VOTE FOR CORDELIA (because after handling Miles, nobody in this bracket would be much of a challenge
Scientist. Spaceship captain. Explorer of new worlds. Mother to two brilliant lunatics and surrogate mother to an emperor. Vicereine.

She stopped a planetwide civil war when it threatened her unborn child and then quietly revolutionized her adopted planet within a generation.

Cordelia Naismith is what heroines turn into when they grow up.

“Good Lord, woman, where have you been?” he cried furiously.

... She smiled fiercely at [her father-in-law Piotr] and held up the bag.

“Shopping.”

...”Want to see what I bought?” Cordelia continued, still floating. She yanked the bag’s top open and rolled [Emperor-pretender] Vordarian’s head out across the table. . .It stopped face up before him, lips grinning, drying eyes staring.

Piotr’s mouth fell open.

...Aral was perfect. His eyes widened only briefly, then he rested his chin on his hands and gazed over his father’s shoulder with an expression of cool interest. “But of course,” he breathed. “Every Vor lady goes to the capital to shop.

I'm a bit incredulous that Carrie White is beating Thursday Next, when Thursday has every gadget known to SO and the Bookworld, and Carrie has...rage-triggered pyrokinesis. *shrug*

I agree with this comment. Plus, Thursday would be able to just read herself into Carrie's book and unleash a plague of Grammasites thus obliterating any potential literary opponent before the fight even began.

Or alternatively just make sure she has a fire extinguisher.

I'm saying. I wasn't sure if the "read yourself into her book" bit was against cage match rules, so didn't stress it. But Thursday has more tools at her disposal.
